Information for Parents – Teaching the Kurdish Language

Dear parents, dear members of the Kurdish community in the canton of Geneva,

We invite parents of children aged 5 to 12 years to register their children on the official website of the canton of Geneva, as part of the census related to the teaching of heritage languages.

The Kurdish language is one of the languages recognized in this context by the canton of Geneva.

This initiative aims to better understand the needs for Kurdish language teaching in Geneva and to promote the transmission and learning of the mother tongue among new generations.

We therefore encourage parents whose children are taking Kurdish classes, or wish to learn the Kurdish language, to complete this registration.
